Long walks in the forest often reveal hidden treasures, like the breast plates of a turtle shell.  

The brown tortoise color that we think of when we think of turtle shells are "skutes" which flake off when the shell ages after the turtle has left its precious home and body. Sometimes both breast plates with and without skutes, are available.  Please inquire if you would like a breast plate necklace with out skutes, Also, let us know if you have a color preference for the beads used in the piece.

The turtle is a thoughtful creature, who carries their home everywhere they go.  These reptiles can inspire a sense of grounding, a deep sense of purpose and meaning, where ever one may roam.
