In this hide deerskin hide tanning workshop, you will learn how to transform deerskin into subtle soft buckskin leather by using brains or eggs & smoke.

This three-day in-person workshop is true magic! You will learn the ancestral earth skill of brain tanning - a traditional survival skill of all humans.

Students work together as teams to tan deer skins from start to finish, leaving with a finished piece of buckskin to take home and the knowledge of how to do it again and again.

Classes are located just outside of Athens, Ohio; and offered on a sliding scale of $350- $550. Pay what works for you.

A $250 deposit of the class fee is due upon registration by March 14th. Class space is limited to provide high quality instruction.
